Through the Haze is part of the Wall of Sound series of graphite rubbings made from the woodchip wallpaper in Jimi Hendrix's London home at 23 Brook Street, prior to the building's renovation. Hendrix’s home is next-door to where the composer Handel lived 200 years earlier and it is said that Hendrix saw visions of Handel in the walls of his flat. Through the Haze is made from rubbings of the four corners of Hendrix's bedsitting room.
